House Vision is a Pan-Asian platform (China, Japan and many new places such as Malaysia, Vietnam, Indonesia ecc.) of multidisciplinary research and development, initiated and co-curated by the Japanese Designers Kenya Hara e Sadao Tsuchiya, since 2013. HV is a feasibility study in the field of the home living, carried out by professional teams, by architectural designers and by leading companies, in different fields, who worked together to realize new visions of “the house an the forms of dwelling” able to answer to the existing urban complexity and to all the transformations connected to new lifestyles and new necessities.
Across Chinese Cities – China House Vision, Collateral Event of the 15th International Architecture Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia is part of an international program organized and promoted by Beijing Design Week (BJDW) and extension of the House Vision project. The Exhibition addresses the wider cultural and historical implications affecting the context and the role of architecture practice in the modern-day China, as increasingly impacted by environmental factors, shape-shifting demographics and generational segmentation.
The exhibition presents the contextual phenomena – economic, urban, social – which have affected the research trajectories, the reasons and the collaboration conditions behind 14 architectural firms and selected industries, by rethinking the “dwelling” conditions beyond the strict boundaries of its “private” dimension.
In the occasion of one of the events dedicated to the presentation of Chinese cities in Milan, created by the Sino European Innovation Institute, we hosted the government delegation of Yiwu City, considered an important pole of the “Made in China” production.

WORLD DESIGN WEEKS ASIA IN MILAN
BEIJING DESIGN WEEK – HARMONY WITH NATURE
